Jarli available for adoption

I am very happy to offer for adoption this week a lovely new bear called Jarli; this sweet bear stands just 7 inches high. Jarli is completely hand stitched from recycled vintage mink fur in medium brown with sable fur for his fluffy ears. Dark cream Ultra suede is used for his feet and paw pads. Many hours have been devoted to precisely hand scissor sculpting his muzzle to reveal his round cheeks and little chin.

Wednesdays Workbench- commission bear

I had a request to make a commission bear for a customer during the week, this bear is made from very dark brown and white mink fur, he/she is now waiting for the owner to choose a name and be sent to its new home.

The leopard printed fur creation from last week has been finished although I stopped working on it to do the commission. All I need to do are the accessories and photography, hopefully all will be finished early next week.

Wednesdays Workbench

I spent a lot of time on the computer this week redesigning my website with a fresh new look. The colour pallet is still blues but I also used a lot of white to give a crisp modern feel. I do all my graphic design in Photoshop Elements and then use Coffee Cup to work the layout. This blog has also be designed to blend in with the new look of my website.

I am still working with the printed leopard mink fur creation which is very close to completion and will be revealed soon.

The ladybug bear that was listed on Bearpile yesterday has found a new home.

Wednesdays Workbench

The leopard printed jacket from last week has been deconstructed and has given me a wonderful amount of useable fur and also some leather pieces that I may be able to use for paw pads. I have started a project from this fur and will have it finished soon and available for adoption.

Deconstructed leopard printed jacket.

I have finished the panda from last week and named her Polly. Recently I did a commission bear for a customer who wanted a coloured nose and I was so happy with the look that I gave one to this bear. It is a great way to bring a pop of colour to the neural tones of the mink fur and coordinated with accessories.

The wonderful leopard printed mink fur jacket has arrived and is in great condition. I will be soon  begin deconstructing it and salvaging the fur, some of the leather panels may be useful for paw and feet pads.

I have returned to work on the panda from January 14 who I hope to have finished and ready for adoption soon.

Wednesdays Workbench

This week the two commission pieces I have been working on have been finished and are on their way to their new home in the united States. I had a request from a collector for a lion and am now working on that, the messy cutting out is finished and is ready to be hand stitched. Meanwhile I am waiting on a leopard printed mink fur coat to arrive from the United States, this fur is very hard to come by and I am so excited to see it.

Wednesdays Workbench

This week I have been working on two commission pieces for a customer, one is a dark brown and white panda who is almost completed and the second is a lion. The panda is receiving the finishing touches and is ready for his owner to choose a name. It takes a lot of work to bring a mink bears little face out from behind the fur, lots and lots of trimming with the scissors to sculpt those puffy cheeks and chin.

Test eyes and nose and fur removed from bridge of
 nose for eye placement.

Cheeks starting to be shaped and nose bridge refined.

Eyes in place and trimming completed.

All finished.

Wednesdays Workbench

The start of 2015 is looking to be very busy, my first bear Raffi was adopted from Bearpile very quickly and has been delivered to his new home. While working on my next bear I was commissioned to make a bear and lion for a new customer, so I am now concentrating on getting that order completed.

I will then return to finish this little bear and have him or her available for adoption.
